Couple of minor problems
Hi, right, i was doing an oil change on my s2 rs today, and i dont remember doing it, but i may have knocked the speedo cable, as i am no longer getting any speeds on my dash, arg!
Any probable causes for this? which end do i look at first, any joins in the cable?
I was trying to take the oil filter off from the top, lazy me should have got it from the bottom
Also found my crappy plastic breather thing is cracked, so i have on coming tomorrow, should make it run a bit better
2nd Q, i am wanting to take the rocker cover off, do i just take the crossover pipe off & take the bolts out around the cover? no other complications? how much of a fiddle is it to replace the gasket?
Cheers for the help

Yeah just whip the pipe off, bolts out and job done! Simple job to replace the gasket, just make sure u clean the surfaces up and make sure the tabs round the gasket lock into the cutouts in the rocker cover!

speedo cable; make sure it hasnt come out from the back of the clocks.
push it through the bulk head till there is only a tiny bit of yellow tape showing in the engine bay side.

yeh there are two parts. one joins onto the gearbox and the other end goes into the back of the dials. they join somewhere in th middle by a big bolt type thing
on the bit that goes up to the dials make sure you haven't pulled it out by mistake. push it back through the bulkhead towards dials until there is only a tiny bit of yellow tape showing.

they join approximately half way between the dials and the gearbox. somewhere behind the inlet manifold
try pushing the cable through the bulkhead incase it has come out the back of the dials. i had this happen to me once (admittedly i had just changed the dials but its a possibility)
