Default rsi poss head gasket

hi all,
need advice. ive got an rs1600i that ive had in the garage for along time, bin too do a bit of work on it latley and noticed the water is a creamy colour in the header tank but the oil is fine, the cars running rough, like its on 3 or the timings slightly out, but starts fine, and wil tick over all day, but doesnt seem to over heat,
has the head gasket gone?
cheers all Bryan

you're gonna have to do a comp test mate..

If its running on 3 tho it could be the lifters if one of em is out it might be loosing comp.

That Xr3i that Kipper had ( I think u had it before) was like that when I went to look at it, creamy froth pissing out of the header tank.

Said it was fine after he'd cleaned it out, try flushing it out, put some new anti freeze in it and run it for a bit see what happens.

Hello Bryan

Give it a flush out as J said - sounds like it will be fine

Is it going on tour this year ?

It was alright true, but when I went to look at it I was facing a ban and I was a bit younger and nieve and didn't realise. LOL so I didn't buy it.

Was sweet as a nut though engine was a honey.

Heads piss easy on one of them mate.. really.. I am sure you've got a spare head floating around ready to be skimmed so you can just do a straight swap.

(or if its the right price and the right car I could be tempted again LOL)
