My mates into his Scoobies and has done a few rolling road days with them. He reckons a lot of the PPP equipped cars don't make the claimed output.

The cornering ability is superb and they can be a lot of fun. The newest incarnation of the Impreza looks fookin hideous though, some sort of bastard son of a Subaru and a Seat Ibiza

I would keep the Focus personally but then I hate Scoobies with a passion so it might be more beneficial listening to others that are a bit more open to them.

I can appreciate them but just don't like them

i got a scooby only WRX 02 and i personaly would not go back to a Ford again, after my focus st170 that gave me so much trouble combined with the ford dealers,i thought bugger it and went scooby,

Mine goes very well for standard and it is quick with a 0-60 at 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 140+

I tried a few escort cossies and non of them actually felt as good as my car, wether i was expecting too much im not sure.
Since buying the car i havent had one issue with it and it will have a bit more bhp this year aswell

The only bad scoobys are the ones that people who dont really understand a turbo'ed engine and go and do silly DIY mods for more power and thats when pistons do start to melt, other than that they are not too bad for reliability.

Spec C is a bit of a an animal. Mate should be getting his this year after they ditch the Legacy. I'm looking forward to seeing how my old beantin does against it. Think I'll lose but he kind of owes me a beating after I beat his WRX last year.

I owned a STi 8 + PPP with 18"s for over a year and chopped it in for an L200 pickup truck in attempt to be sensible, big mistake!

I personally wouldn't bother the PPP again just go straight for the aftermarket tuners like the TSL 333 conversion, assuming your not too bothered with the warranty. If you want the warranty then a PPP is a great way to go, and whether its 280/290/300/310 they still go well and handle like you wouldn't believe.

anyway, having done 4 track days in mine they are a cracking piece of kit more prone to understeer than say an EVO but most of the bad rep is down to poor driver skills like mine then someone pointed out that there is a limit to what speed you can do and expect the car to go in the direction you wish

I had an all day long spat with an EVO FQ300 at Brunters and our cars were completely on a par nothing in it, great fun, 4 wheel drifting for fun even for me!

Slightly bobbly ride with standard suspension, my paint work seemed a bit prone to stone chips as well, apart ffrom that bomb proof!

I had a TSL firestorm exhaust fitted to mine and it sounded awsome, like a jet fighter on full chat!!
