I gave up trying and just replaced the glass in-situ

Yep you can, just unclip it at the top and pull it forward. It's a bit harder to get back in but not too bad.

Think its only 3 bolts m8 IIRC

One into inner wing(need to remove indicator),one through bracket where grille attaches,one through a bracket into inner wing below back of light where you change bulbs.

Oh yeah,did'nt have any of them on mine when I took headlights out!!!!!!

That strip is easy to remove m8,only pushed into the wings both sides and the grille sits in it

they are so easy to get out.
1>take out middle grille 2 screws and slide slighty to left to un clip
2>pop out indicator
3>remove wiper blade and hose
4>carfully prise lower strip out of bottom of h/lamps and unclip eiter side near indicators
5>undo 2 10mm bolts under headlamp and move wiper motor out of way
6>now the 3 bolts hoding the lamp in 1 at top.1 where the centre grille was and 1 at the back of h/lamp where you would change the bulb
7>un plug wiring and out it comes

see those wipers and front grille piece under the light screwed me up aswell, i got the grille strip half out but then gave up and tried to put it back together only it wouldn't go back together properly and the plastic strip under the light is at a angle and looks shit!
