205 40 17 is the best easily mate,
I put 235`s on and they looked pure shit, so I went n got another set of 205`s .
Also the wheel you have bought if you look is 7.5 x 17 not ya usual 7x17 so the 205`s fit nice n tight over them no bother

 

R Plate Escort would be Mk6 as after that it became the Focus . 205/40/17 will be fine mate
