Default Is it a write off? (now with pics)

my pops reversed into my s2 today with his 5 series, fooked mine, hardly a mark on his!

damage...

bonnet fooked
wing damaged
bumper fooked
slam panel bent a bit (new one needed i reckon)
1 headlight + an indicator.

my door is damaged from a previous incident (not that that matters in this one)...

i have no pics today, so none of the pics or STFU till tomorrow!!!

will his insurance call it a day?

<---real tears!

Gutter. It could be a write off by the sound of it.

BTW if it is a write off find out how much your insurance company will charge to sell it back to you.

Get your insurance money, buy it back and fix it ??, fair enough it will be recorded, but you'll not lose too much when you sell it on if you take some photos of damage ??

i would get me dad to pay for the damage, wouldent get him to put it through the insurance far too much hassle, just get it booked in @ a good bodyshop.

They wil almost certainly write it off. They will try and give you the Glass's guide price of about Ł1100. Tell them to get screwed and argu the toss should see the offer come up to a more sensible level. Some goon punted my bro's FRST up the bum and they wrote it off and sent a cheque for Ł1200. After a few phone calls they agreed to stump up Ł2k to repair it. Was a really nice job and the car drives straight as a die

Don't know about the 10% bit mate.

With regards to value find similar cars for sale and get the cuttings and send them to the insurer to proove the cars value. When our 2i was written off the cheeky buggers offered us Ł700 for it after a row and some stroppy letter threatening to call the insurance obudsman they kindly sent a cheque for Ł2500.

Don't take any of their shit and accept nothing verbally.

at the end of the day, if it costs more than say 800 its a write off... 60% of value IIRC... an rst in an insurers eyes is worth fook all...

some silly fuckers van had a faulty handbrake so all he done was put it into 1st gear and walked away. it popped out and rolled down the road just hitting mine i was parked up. he nearly drove off to the wanker but the fella next door blocked him in and they started arguing so they sent down 8 police officers in 2 vans but they were all sound and saw what had happened which was good for me.

bloody hell, i wouldnt dream of considering a car written off for that

i mean, is this rs turbo just a car to u , or is like 'your rs turbo' that u dearly love much like mine is to me and quite a few peoples on here. if is was my pride and joy i would think easy fix, will just take some time and would make me go cold at the thought of it bein written off.

make ya dad pay for it, or have a major family fall out and never speak to em again and smash his beemer up lol
