hello peeps.

changed my head to a stage 2. on my esco rs turbo......head had already done 300 miles. my head had gone.

here's my problem. It wasnt turning over fast enough to start the car so i towed it in the garage and after 3 weeks of trying they jumped it and off she went.

BUT

1. once started she heats up half way after 5 minutes.

2. if you turn the car off or dont get her started 1st time she wont let you crank her for at least an hour.....???starter motor weak?? dunno

3. the revs sit at 1500rpm....but if you give it a rev then when you release the pedal the revs drop towards 0 then it cuts out unless you keep it reving it just dies.


the car worked fine, no probs whatsoever before just my oil seal had gone and welded to the head causing smoke and also my tappetts were noisy, so the head had to be changed due to the seal being naff.

 

I owuld say get it to a specialist not a general bodge monkey mechanic. Something sounds a touch iffy with things

 

would you take it to be compression tested and rolling tuned?
