Default Braided fuel line routing and a fuel rail question.

..Ok so for my fuel line i am goin braided return to the original steel pipe....on the in,braided all the way...now when using this stuff its meant to run inside the car as reality it is not MOT legal to run it outside!..Steel pipes are best for this..BUT i need a bigger diameter so need to replace.

Question 1.....although its got to be safer to have a fuel IN the car i still dont like the sound of it Is it ok to go in thru the bulkhead then out the back where the back seat used to be,to the filter?

Question 2.....when upping the braided line size which is needed to extract 600 plus apparently i noticed that although you are having a bigger fuel line, the injector holes stay the same and they appear the same size hole as the original fuel line size?????

-6 hose should be fine if you run it in the car make sure its the ptfe lined stuff

Obviuosly can use good grommets to prevent "chaffage"

...steel fixed pipe only.....braided may be tuff but not suitable for under the car as its flexible and bigger....Why do you think rally cars run this INSIDE?

to run fuel line inside the car you would need to use ptfe lined hose. as the rubber lined hose will leave a smell of petrol in the car.-6 rubber hose will be fine under the car for the mot.

plastic from pump to filter and plastic from filter to steel pipe -6 under the car is not a mot failure aslong as its cliped up securely

Bosch-Man

Why do you think rally cars run this INSIDE?
to stop them getting squashed on rough events - fook all to do with the MOT pal - there are no rules relating to fuel pipe material pal in the mot manual , as long as they dont leak and there secure - jobs mint !

and

Obviuosly can use good grommets to prevent "chaffage"
GROMMETS ??

what about pukka bulkhead connectors ? dont fook about with grommets and fuel line - make sure all connections are very good and secure especially where it comes into the cabin - if theres an under bonnet fire - the chances of you getting out are pretty good - if its an internal fire - YOUR FOOKED !

Don't grommet them Phil.

You want proper bulkhead connectors at any point where lines pass through metal as Mark says.

I would have thought a -8 line would be better for 600 bhp,on 4 x injectors?

I am running 2x -6 feed lines and 1x -6 return line for my 8x injector set up,600bhp on gas.

puddy.
