When your sitting down, and relaxed, i'm in my mid 20's if that matters?

mid 20's you should be around 70 ish...unless you are an athelete!

Ok, just that yesterday when i was sitting down i thought my heart was going at a fair old rate and i counted 96beats/min

all depends what you been doin b4 if its that high then you need a check up mate, it should be on average sat up 75 for that age if you do no physical stuff. lower the fitter you get. everyone is diffrent though.

try counting for 15secs then multiply by 4, can get a bit tricky having to count for a whole minute.

A better measure of fitness is how quickly it returns to the resting rate

Mine is mid-fifties typically at rest, 28 year old

...the older you get the slower it should be.

I at 35years old have a resting heart rate of 58 and blood pressure reading of 116 over 69 according to my Doc really good.

My missus on the other hand is 30 and has good blood pressure but has a resting rate of 90 - 95 which is TOO fast....Remember the faster it beats resting the faster it will conk out

count beats for ten secs and times by 6 mate
