reliable power 4 my turbo conversion

I have a 1990 mk3 xr2i in white i have done everthing to the car ie full rst lookalike rs500 wheels etc bassiclly it looks as i want it to look, i am starting to get parts together for fiesta turbo conversion need some advice on parts i want 185bhp but must be reliable smooth power i was thinking gt28 rollerbearing turbo etc i want to keep it 1.6 i see alot of rsts that strugle getting the power down, i dont want mine to be one them shall i buy an a.t.b slip diff, give me some ideas lads

gt28r seems overkill for that sort of power level.

what would you recomend mate i am all about the traffic light grand prix 0-60 so i dont want big lag what about the a t25 hybrid from a late spec escort cosworth
