Default how do 1.8d fuel pumps work

got a escort van which is a straight desiel 1800 i think

if you pump the deisel pump in the bay it starts ip fine as soon as you drive it it just dies like the deosels not getting through properly.

it has got fuel b4 u say.
how do they work not by electric pump obviously

its got a new pump aswell last year.

sounds like its getting air into the system probably from the primer pump as i have had to replace a few of those in my time

like i said the primer pump bit is all new mate it got done and done 800 miles since fitting

well could be the diesel pump then not cheap to change at all

also look for leaks on injectors and all pipe work
