used to have one. not a bad living if you get the correct pitch, thats the hardest part. If you are thing of doing large shows etc, forget it. The pitch rates are a fooking rip off, all the large firms tend to just bulk buy the lot.
Make sure you get your health and hygiene certs, as the environmental health will pay you a visit soon after you register
Any questions just ask mate

From: Glasgow's finest Trailer Park!
you will need your elementry food hygene certificate, this costs about Ł100 and is a one day course, you will need to have a traders license obviously, the van must have 3 sinks, it will need to be inspected by eho but you will find out more about this when you apply for your license,if you are going to be preparing stuff in your home kitchen(ie chopping onions, buttering rolls etc) that will need to be inspected too, you will need to keep daily temperature checks on your fridge and hot holding food in the bain marie, then there is doing the books, as part of the conditions of your license your books must be up to date and be ready for inspection at any time, also there is the whole inland revenue bit that i aint too clued up on
anythin else?
The council will not charge for a pitch as a rule as your license will cover you to work on public ground etc( i think) but i would not say your trailer will require 3 sinks, my old one never had 3 and it was not an issure. Best bet is to speak to your local council/ EHO as regs do change quite fast.
Are you thinking of doing this full or part time out of interest, and are you looking at investing a "reasonable" amount of cash or just a few k? Not being nosey, just its easier to give advice knowing more of the situation (sp?)
