Default water pump has gone, buying cambelt and pump, info needed

wana do my cam belt at same time, antifreeze has pissed all over it! what do i need to order? belt, pump now should i get a verniar pully and do i need tesioners or is it part of the pulley? the guy at english ford said the tesioner is the pulley, ive got a feeling he is on about a different pulley to me?? Wen he said i would need a pulley, for some silly reason i though he meant the drive pulley for the cam, now thinking about it he probably means a tensioner pulley right??

the pully above the water pump is the tensioner. this has to be removed before the water pump can come of by the way (i didnt realise and it had me stumped for a while lol)

If you've got decent tools/ability the whole lot should take a couple hours.
The trickiest bit is getting the lower belt shroud off so you can get at the
water pump.
However, if you're having trouble indentifing the tensioner/pulley you should
buy a haynes manual immediately and/or get someone else to do it. Good luck.

crankshaft bolt - put the ratchet on it from below, hold it! and get someone to turn the ignition key just so it cracks the bolt, little tip to get that off
MARK the cam and crank pulley before you take them off.
replace timing belt, water pump/gasket/tensioner if it's worn, threadlock the bolts! tension the timing belt, it should twist 90 degrees, and if you pull it it should have a nice whip on the belt (you'll see what i mean) turn the engine over via the crank bolt (a few turns of the pulley) to makesure nothing is making contact!
oh and refill with uncle freeze

thats a pretty dangerous piece of advice, just put a spanner on the bolt and tap it with a hammer making sure the car is in gear.

the day befor you do the job lag the bottem pully crankshaft bolt with wd40 getting the bolt out is fine the pully does have a tendancey of sticking onto the shaft.

rswoza, not really, works well. Only dangerous if you dont disconnect the coil lead and if you do it properly (without holding the ignition on) the starter wont even turn.
