went to look at me new turbo today (im hope fully gunna buy it.) on the test drive, gave it big stick in second, changed gear, pop and a giant flame lol (it hasnt got a flammer) it also seems to do it alot when letting of in 5th. has just been set up by 'the phirm' its runnin 10psi on standard chip. will this constant back fireing damage the car?????

the bloke who mapped it apperently said the fuel may need turning down in a few weeks (said at time of mapping)

well for a start it hasn't been mapped because you can't map the ke-jet escort so thats bollocks for a start! why would the fuel need turning down in a few weeks, dont get that

doesn't sound good to me, if I were to buy it I'd take it straight to a RS tuner and get it sorted out

as ballin said why would you need to turn the fuel down if the car has just been setup then the tuner should have done fueling so it should be ok i think that guy is telling you porkie's

whose 'the phirm'?

if i was you id tell 'the phirm' where to go, they obviously dont know qhat theyre talking about...

back to the topic, my s2 has recently been set up by Jamsport, and she gives out the odd pop under hard use when changing gears, normally uphill or with alot of people in the car.

sorry, incorrect term used. the car hadnt been run for a long time, and had to have a new metering head (ive known the car for ages which is handy)
the phirm (i think thats how its spelt, they deal with alot of bmw i think (some one correct me if im wrong)) fitted the unit and adjusted the fueling to its correct level. he said that after a few weeks it wil start to over fuel and pop and bang in and out of gears changes and will need the fuel pressure turning down slightly.
the car was fine for a few weeks (went out in it the day it was done) before starting to pop and bang......

will probably get it then have the fueling checked..

if it's been adjusted right it would'nt need to be done again in a few weeks i think someone's telling you lie's or the "phirm" dont know what they are doing no GOOD tuner would adjust a car to over fuel there would be no point to it unless they are trying to get more money out of you
