big considering its his first rc car.... would probably be better off with something like a touring car which is better something like a hpi rs4 evo 3 which is a good starter car. not to expensive now either around Ł150 on ebay brand new

hrm...... could try something insane like the schumacher menace which does 65out of the box and an off roader but as a first offroader i would reccomend a traxxas revo or a hpi savage 4.6 both good but expensive, but are very strong and take a bashing

his 1st RC car..... a petrol?

hum personally i'd go for electric for the 1st year but hey thats just me.

i used to race Touring cars at National level, used to make the lower end finals, think i made an E final at Torc which was a big thing for me back then!

havnt run my car for about 2 years now, been spending money onthe nova mainly! from what i can make out its got very expensive now!

ahhh an old hornet, i had the Madcap, then went and got a TA03 Tamiya Escort Cossie! then went and got a few Schumachers and a soding T-tech.... i tell ya now, dont even think of buying one of those!

either of the cars you have said would be good, and withthe right gearing could see some of the cars on here away off the line!
