ok i was about to do a deal for a mint RST, has s1 skirts etc very very clean tidy rust free car producing 190bhp. BUT he has told me the car was built with all rst parts on a xr3i shell!! probabaly wouldnt of noticed myself cos it looks really nice in black 17"s oil cooler, fmic etc,
will this effect the value when selling???

Cars value is only what someone will pay for it, people will see it differently

well i have my uk scooby on ebay so its a p/x deal with cash my way, could i get the car re-registered as a rs turbo???should of kept the cossie on my siggy in the first bloody place

i sold my xr3i turbo for £3300 then was sold on for £3500 and now its up for £4000.

Could not see me getting any more if it had RST rather than XR3 on the log book

At the end of the day the only diffrence is a piece a paper

 

3k if its really mint BUT on totally mint

its insurance value to think of tbh, have a prang and what you gonna get back


DOO dont forget yours was built with all new parts from ford, not just swopped with a rst with a clean xr3i as such

 

still started life as a £300 xr3i

 

excellent DOO just goes to show that thats all it means is a v5 with a name in it, if it looks the biz and does the biz go on fella tear his arm off, for me its just a bargaining tool to get the car cheaper

heinz beans are rank though , cross and blackwell imo, but then i aint got a clue what the prices are so i could be paying too much anyway

infact i only know if its cheep when theres a flash price on it, i get it then as it looks a bargain
