h/gasket aint no biggie

stat could have stat stuck shut, with the heat head may be a big wobbly tho

gasket is Ł30, bolts are Ł10, mite aswell do cambelt while you are at it
personally i'd get a full built up head rather than use a cooked 1

u'd be back on the rd in no time

I dont know what youre giving out about, from the above list, except the cam, everything else is just normal service parts. The car is 17 years old isnt it,what do you expect??Think you were a little unlucky with the over heating,BUT why didnt you turn off the engine before the guage went into the red???Get it fixed and it should be as good as new, regards Micky

I had this discussion the other day, dunno if it was you?

But basically I was in much the same situation as yourself, things always going wrong and every spare penny I had was going on just replacing parts / repairs, had no spare cash at all.

One day summit went wrong, and that was the final straw for me, so I decided to get myself a run about, to try and build up some cash and get the car done properly.

Chin up mate had my S1 since July driven it twice it's broke down twice too, me & my bro had to push it half a mile home in October
Got some stupid notion about selling it for a while after that, but it soon blew over...
And you know what? Wouldn't change it for the world now
In fact, looking for an S2 to swap with my MR2 Turbo now!
