h/gasket aint no biggie
stat could have stat stuck shut, with the heat head may be a big wobbly tho
gasket is £30, bolts are £10, mite aswell do cambelt while you are at it
personally i'd get a full built up head rather than use a cooked 1
u'd be back on the rd in no time
