i'm lookin for a person runnin S8 ecu with similar spec to mine.
8x greens,
Gt30 510 bhp turbo,
as mines havein problems with ecu, and wonder if other people are also.
i'm under the impression that i'm the only one runnin 450 - 500 bhp with 8 greens.
i would ask Simon, but he's not replyed to my text's for a while.

Colin from Bristol Group does, dont think he posts on here much.
He has a small turbo Es Cos converted to T34 turbo (temp turbo), fitted with S8 and 8 x greens on a WRC style inlet (Siamese - injectors next to each other).

cheers,
has he had any problems? so he's runnin a good 390 - 410 bhp?
but as my fault is that fuel injector time is excedin ignition timing ( maxxed out)
it does it at anything more than 27-8 psi boost, at any rev's even at 4000rpm and 7000rpm.

Also Daug somehow got hold of Simon (s.e.c)
Simon has PROMISED to sort my ecu today, by Emailing me new software he says he's had to design for mine.
Fingers crossed and hope he does.
Also he was lookin into a fail safe boost controll, So wen the ecu has air inj on it runs to mapped dutie, but wen there off, they run fully open to stop boost fully on over a certain throttle position.

1st off o2 sayin i had a missed call off Simon (sec's), so tried ringin back and got answer phone.
2nd message was off simon, sayin i never reply to him either (some ones told him wot i wrote on here, which i dont know wot he means, so i replyed, and asked wot havent i replyed too?
3rd message off simon, sayin he's internet is down at mo, so he's gonna send it to me tomorrow.
I'm not tryin to diss Simon, but he does bring it on himself. Honesty is always the best policy

personally i wouldnt bother SECS - the service is far tooo shit and all Simon seems to come out with is excuses.
I have been there and done that and will not bother with him again.
Also have another mate who has his ECU and is still having problems after receiving endless excuses from Simon.

NIL 7090, Thanks for that mate
Fiestacossie,
I have been away for a while and not had net access as you very well know !
You have called me and I have called you and we have missed each
others calls for some reason as you have said elsewhere.
Lets not forget (for other reading this),
you bought this ecu SECOND hand from a third party and upgraded it and
reconditioned it FOC at my own expense (LOSS) but I guess
I will always get slagged off for even doing the right thing
I will always help anyone who asks for it when i can but the last 3 weeks
have been very busy for me as I have been working away on my normal
full time day job as I need to earn a living as SECS no longer provides
an adequate wage.
I will check your map later and post results on your other "injection time"
thread as the problems you are having are a combination of your
missunderstanding of how ecus/injection works and the map you have entered.
The fault code that you are getting is a result of a protection routine
to stop your engine melting if the injector limits are reached and NOT
a fault of the ecu.
Anyway, on way home now so will post up later
R4N S S,
Dont know who you mean ??? PM me details please.
(or post up here if you really want to stir it up
)
RsGus,
Phil,
Anyone else who has sent me a PM that I have not replied to,
will be answered later as I am about to leave work and go home
Also STU, call you later

Ok once again your not tellin the full truth.
At the beginnin of August Simon promised me a brand new ecu for beginnin of September, which is wot i wanted,
after 4 weeks (after my new s8 was meant to be delivered) and many broken promises (includin THREE 'ITs in the post' Simon rang me up, and sed admitted he's lead me on and that he cant get a New ecu for me,
so he offered me a 2nd ecu (via Dave) and that he will sort it out to my spec, and give me a years warrentie for the cost of £25 (which i haven't yet paid, as 1 the ecu is not up and runnin fully yet, and 2 simon hasn't given me his address for me to send it (which i have asked for more than once)

Yeah i know that its a safety protection of the ecu, but as i sed to you before,
if the injectors were maxxed out then it would run lean, but as
1 it does it even at 4000rpm (as its fuelin fine at 7500rpm as i tested to see how rich it would run and it run 10.9:1 AFR and could of gone richer) Which to me (not a expert) shows its not maxxin the inj.
2 and as my p8 never had a problem at all i always felt its down to the ecu program
But as its your ecu, you will/should know more about this than me.
and i realy do want you to sort it, but time is the issue
Danny, I thought we had agreed that you didnt have to pay me as I was
late in delivering the refurbished unit as a good will gesture.
??????????????????????
Anyway,
I have found the problem !!! It was a software issue
Never shown up before as most people that run 8 injectors, run laggy T4's
that dont generate boost until the rev limit
I was correct, the ecu is predicting the rev rate rise too fast.
I am just modifying the software, can you send me email address
to simon@s8ecu.co.uk and I will send the update programs in about an hour.
