Default understanding MOTers peterborough area?

I'm new to the area and will need to get my mk2 fiesta turbo MOT'd at some point - would prefer to take it somewhere where they have half a clue about the cars

well basically a decent place that wont fail me if my washer tank isn't full

anyone any reccommendations?
(and no I dont want to buy a dodgy MOT cert )

also decent car spares places or breakers in the area?

fill the washer tank then and look the car over first imo

if the car can not pass a MOT then it shouldnt be on the road UNLESS it failed for the silly non dangerous things like CO rating or theres no access to the rear seats

washer level is important this time of year imo

fook off! it was an example, and the washer bottle empties within 40 miles in this weather on a fiesta lol

CO rating... depends how important you rate the environment etc etc or the fact that the car should really be able to pass emissions shouldn't it.

one thing that it would no doubt fail on is it currently still has rear belts in... but no actual seats - of course its possible to take these out etc... but its all time and i've got better things to worry about than the legalities of having rear seatbelts when no one can sit in the back etc.

what you mean FUCK OFF

i was refering to general thoughts ffs,

your the one asking for a honest MOT person who will tell you the faults and not fail i belive so you can leave and sort them

i wasnt actually attempting to judge you in the slightest as i fucking agree with you

just the screen wash thing anoys the fuck out of me when im no a motorway and go to use it and theres non left in the works vans, wasnt aimed at you

failing on rear belts with no back seats comes in the "stupid rules" catagory

the emisions it bollox imo as the buses and the electrcity used are alot fucking worse than my cossie that does 2k a year

try mark @ woodston motorist centre, he's pure Mot so no workshop to 'create work for'
or cavan @ woodgrange service centre, werrington are quite good
or gary @ i forget the name but it's down 'third drove' on the estate behind the pointy pizza hut, he loves modified cars

theorginial I work near woodston and live in werrington so the top seem good straight off!!

is the other one down boongate type of way? im not sure on the pointy pizza hut?? unless its near the showcase one?

only just moved to this area.

and ginge - sorry mate just came across a bit self righteous in your first reply.... I was half expecting a backlash from the usual bunch of if it wont pass an MOT it aint roadworthy bunch.

BUT... i'm not asking for anything dodgy - I just don't want to take it somewhere militant like the kwik fit style places - who are the kind to concentrate on the petty none safety easily fixed issues.
