Default is amazes me the press and tabloids

how a football player can die ..the press goes mad "the world stops"

and a world champion rally car driver dies "not much coverage at all

net wise or the papers

kicking a bag of air around

ok its a skill but how much do they get paid a game

just my honest opinion

I've been using that site for quite a while now a little while ago I was going to buy an 00/V Omega Elite that was cheap or seemed cheap'ish ...I walked away from it after reading the recalls, faults, etc

I cant answer your question on how the media do things, but either way its a sad time when any British sporting heroes pass away

you can''t say the rally driver deserves more respect than the footballer you say "he just kicked a bag of air around" well I "just drive a car around" same difference.

The reason that george is so if the face of everyone is He was a household name and Richard Burns wasn't.
I aggree he took his own life with his decision to drink for 40 years and Richard never had a chance but don't think he doesn't deserve it cos You don't like the sport he excelled in..
RIP to both of them
steve

I think a lot of it is down to coverage as well, remember Football is our national sport so it gets a damn sight more coverage on the TV/Papers etc.....Also George was always in the press for other reasons,so doubled his airtime....

Both brilliant sportsmen and true gents,A crying shame they are gone.....

Richard Burns was the 1st English world rally champion in a very long time (who was before him?). i think he deserves as much coverage for that fact alone as George Best got.

i met him once, seemed like a nice guy.

its tragic how his career ended. i hadn't heard much about him for a while, i thought he was on the mend. such a shame.
