Head gasket just gone

The head gasket went on my mates rs van last night. Were hopefully changing it tomorrow is there any tricky bits or anything we should know before going ahead with it ?

You need to make sure the head is not warped aswell. When undoing the bolts do it in stages in reverse order to tightening them. Might be worth getting it checked though so you don't have to do the job twice.
