Default desperatley needed help

I need any info you can give me.
i have a series2 erst, fuel relay blew 3wks ago. So while i was waiting a replacement i put a stage 2 head on the car.
Got the relay but the pump wont come on.......i got another feul relay but again the pump wont kick in.

if i bypass the relay the pump works fine........how can i solve this problem?? would it be down to the loom in anyway? as that had water on from a small hole below the front screen (repaired now).

please any help will do before i garage her and get ripped off big time!!!

It could of melted the bit the relay plugs into

or theirs a dodgy connection on the same part

or maybe it's blown a fuse elsewhere (but i dont know if it's connected to any fuses.)

all i can think of

the old relay that blew can be fixed by DazC off this forum

p.s. i need one

I had a very similar problem when i fitted a new fuel pump relay, it turned out to be the connections in the relay socket, they had gone a bit wide so i tightened them up with a small screwdriver and it worked straight away.
Might be worth a try ?

sounds like dodgy conection, try wobbling the relay and wires while some one turns the ignition on and off and see if you can hear it cut in
