Default Why oh why is my camshaft oil seal leaking?!?!?

As title the camshaft oil seal leaks when the engine (CVH) warms up up to normal temperature, coating the cam sprocket and spraying it everywhere

Ive fitted two new seals, one from a motor factors and one from Ford but its still doing the same, WHY!?!?

Am i fitting it wrong? would running on thinner oil do this? any ideas? talk about throwing a spanner in the works

Anyone?

take the rocker cover of and you'll see.

could the head be worn? causing the cam to sit slightly off, leaving a gap for ouil to leak?

Another thing i thought of, ive used 5w-30 castrol GTX magnetec, you know that stuff you have for the modern Zetec i bought it buy mistake and only noticed when i was filling the engine

Ive done 0 miles with the oil in as ive barely started setting up the engine, im sorting out too many problems like this am planning to change it for the proper stuff soon as it'll probrably have swarf in it where i refitted the head etc

It only leaks when up to normal running temp, from cold its fine

nothin to do with the oil

u have to press it in quite firmly. should be flush, or just protrude slightly from the head.
