I have a brand new actuator that was for a 3dr.

are they the same as my 1990 4x4

the actuator is the same but the screwing part of the actuator which is connected to the wastegate is differend.

cool

will my origninal 4x4 part fit

i havent be arsed to go and look lol

all i need to know is will i be able to fit the 3dr one to my 4x4 using the original 4x4 part that conects to the wastegate.

as above,the 4x4 rod is longer to connect it to the wastegate but use your 1 and it will fit

Ok,
Actuators, the definitive guide..

Here are three -31 actuators all for Cosworth's.


The one on the left is a 2wd Cossie T3 actuator.

The one in the middle is a 4wd sierra Cosworth T3 actuator.

The one on the right is a 4wd Escort Cossie T34 & T28 actuator.

The lengths are slightly different on all of them and as a result they all have these different rod ends too...

Hey Tiff,

sometimes when it get's very technical in english, I can't(hardly) follow the story.
guy's like rainbird, karl, stu and others experts here can use difficult words.
I have to translate them in dutch.

Tiff, a dutch cosworth tuner sometimes uses difficult words. I say to him he have to speak dutch.

I'm actually very good in English IF I may say so myself.
Sometimes I even can't say the words in Dutch but I can say them in English. How scary is that for someone with a Duth mothertongue.

hi stu, ive put a 4x4 rear housing on my 2wd t3 turbo, when i come to put the actuator on which one do i have to buy( from you of course )is it the 4x4 one???

A m8 of mine over in the UK is always stunned by my knowledge of the English language. I sometimes say words that he doesn't even know off.
