car wont start and ive got no ideal just stops when ticking over would it be better if i took the dump valve off and the car just wont start dam thing help plz i dont wanna walk to work again u know the feeling

 

m8 check all your boost pipes and vacumes as if u have a leak it will not start and idle try and take dump valve of as some people dont like them on the rs an say they cause problems just cut a bit of broom handle of and put it where the dv goes but id check all hoses first .

 

sounds like an air leak somewhere to me. or could be low on fuel. mine has a tendancy to cut out randomly whilst idleing when i have less than 1/4 of a tank in her. could be something similar?!

 

mine is beklow 1/4 of a tank and its just cut out and isnt even starting what boost valves go normally im new to the car and would be sound to be pointed in the direction cheers lads

 

there was also a fine coat off oil over the top pipe next to the dump valve its doing me head in polished waxed new rims and no where to go!!!

 

slight oil in ya boost pipes is normalish.......as opposed to boost valves, u cant fit them to an MFi engine, has to be the fiesta efi engine

 

get the chump valve in the bin

well the d/v could be the root of your problems!

is it a diaphragm or piston? piston ones should be used on ersts, even then they still leak after a while!
