Default How to identify a 4wd head!?

Dan is gunna go look @ a head for his cossie!

Its a bare head he is lookin @ & will b puttin in 2wd bits from his old head!

Does it matter if the casing is 4wd!? & how can u tell between 2wd & 4wd!? if any differnece in the casting!

4wd head has no leg on the exhaust side for the turbo damper, and also 4wd has grooves in the front cam bearing holes where the locating ring sits in

and if its a bare head, make sure tha camcaps come with it or it's nearly useless

and it has 3 bolts for the thermostat housing 2wd has 2

Not true, late 2wd had 3 too.
Best and simplest indication is teh turbo damper hanger.

stu if it is a 4wd head case will all the 2wd stuff go in ok!? will it effect compression!?
