Default Just bought a new ic

I may sound very stupid now but is there anything i have to do while fitting ? Or is it just a bolt off bolt on jobbie ? also is it best to get it setup again now running a bigger cooler ?

Cheers
Sam

on a serious note mate, id save for a FMIC, the money those half size ones make is silly, coz a GRS are only about Ł250, the thing is a half size one is only gonna have to be changed when u want more boost.

when i had a half size one, it only really allowed me to run a bit more boost than a std i/c, my act's had dropped that much compared to the std i/c either, but install a grs and see nice act's, cool looks and the capabilty of running more boost at a safer level

is there a FMIC that can be fitted without butchering the front bumper at all and still retain the spotlights?

without having one custom made of course.

dave_y, Pro alloy i think and GRS (if fitted properly ) should be fine!

I fitted a GRS and had plenty of room between rad/fan (fan should of been in between ideally, but their should still be more than enough room for the cooler to come right forward!

Well i only payed Ł80 for a near new one so im happy with that. The main thing is the pace one is good enough for me plus i dont want to hack my bumper to bits and have some big ugly cooler in the way. Sorry guys but i think it looks a bit jap having some big fuck off cooler hanging out on show esp on a little rs turbo

tbh this time of year isnt the ideal time to get a new ic , its not exactly warm out is it , i would have waited untill warmer weather myself

and no there are no special rules , just hook it up and your done

double capacity pace is only good as a std upgrade running std boost
pro alloy is good for 16-18psi and after that its the grs for me
if your just gonna run std boost then pace one will do,over that there just pants

with a GRS you do have cut the bumper(but it can't be seen if done correctly and its only a small piece to cut out) and you will have to make spacer's for the lamp brackets to retain the spot lights if the fans are between the cooler and the radiator
