Default FAO Scotland owners - seen this car? B728 XNE

I got my first real RS back in July but it brought back memories of my Turbocharged cabriolet. It was a bit of a shed, metallic blue with a white roof and XR3i interior.
The reg was B728 XNE - and I sold it back in 2001/2. Has anyone any idea what happened to it?
I'd really, really like to get it back.

Spoke to the DVLA there, they didn't want to confirm if it had been scrapped or not but said it 'still had a registered keeper' which suggested it was still owned by someone?!? But yeah, no tax for 2 years...

Just found out my first car has had no tax for 6 years - reckon that has got to be gone!

I wish the site would just say "Status: Dismantled" or something!

Instead of dangling the carrot of hope infront of me!

Any chance you could go back & check out the regi mate?
My car originally came from Glasgow so could have made its way back there!
I've written to the DVLA, will wait & see what they say.

DVLA wrote back, sent my cheque back and said they couldn't give me any info due to data protection
All they could tell me was it ran out of tax in August 2003.
So, it managed to get taxed and back on the road after I had it.

My car was scrapped in 2003 and was laid to rest in McGregor Auto Salvage in Perth.

Yeah mate, I'm hoping to get hold of another Mk3 (to go with the Mk4 jonny swapped with me) soon. Trying to get an all white Mk3 cos that was what I wanted to do with my first cabby even though it never happened (S1 replica cabby with turbo power was the plan).

Also going to take a trip to the scrappy that it went to in the rare chance it is still there to see what bits I can get off it. Not likely to be there but you never know. Sad I know, but it really meant a lot to me.

I should never have sold it. But at least I know what happened to it eh?

There was a couple of the all white Mk3 cabrios on e-bay when I looked a couple of days ago. One at least was turbo powered.

Ideally would be looking for a drivable / MOT'able one mate, but I could always take a look. Can you find out how much he's after for it?
