goodridge brake hose fitting
how the fook are you supposed to secure them to the inner wing?
the original (well mine had) uses a spring clip that slots into the groove on the fitting, the replacements dont have this and there isnt enough thread to put washers either side and a nut and still get the brake line on

That end looks like the caliper fitting.

yes front
the copper line does
its where the flexi passes through the inner wing (where the hose meets the line that runs to the abs accumulator) thats the problem

Cable ties will be fine mate.
Dave, usually braided is to replace the rubber pipe so you tell me why it goes like that

Look at the length of the pipe Matt.
From previous experience, the braided pipe often replaces the rubber AND the copper pipe - is it not long enough to do that?

It's because it's a caliper fitting - the score in the hex nut denotes a metric thread.

what the ??
i replaced mine too some while ago and i just screwed
the stainless hoses into both front calipers.
Just put some washers on each side of the inner wing to secure them.
that's what i did and it works just perfect.

LOL @ copper pipe!!!!BUT its perfectly good as it wont expand like the rubber hose
The Goodridge should replace the lot to the inner wing....just use cable ties to secure it

OK mr expert....
How do you screw a solid pipe into a fixed caliper.....
Explain how this is incorrect and and think about it.

You screw it into the caliper first and tighten it. You then fit the other end into the mounting bracket and secure it with a nut. Then you screw the swivel fitting on the steel brake pipe to the pipe and tighten. Finally, bleed all the air out.
A lot of standard rubber flexi hoses have no swivel ends either, not just on Fords..
