OK Sh!t job but need a good guide
what, to replace it?
never done it, but i know that to put the cable back on, lift the pedal so that the ratchet is released and then you can turn the quadrant against the spring to it's initial setting. put the cable in and release the quadrant and the spring tension takes up the slack. push the pedal in slowly a couple of times to set the ratchet position.

Nick, I've got to replace the ratchet, and this was the sticking point last time I believe. I have yet to climb under there to have a look and have been putting it off
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo Dont do it
Ring Ford and ask them how much they want.....
The problems I had were trying 3 different rachets from ford before they came up with the right one...
you will struggle to remove the pivot bar from pedal box while heater blower box is in place.
I did my heater matrix at the same time so this came out anyway
what you could try is cutting a small hole in the heater box, then sliding the pivot bar into it, enabling pedal removal
OR I know Paul at North Yorks prefers to move the whole cage, pedal setup and steering colum from car and do it on the bench... I will do this next time I reckon
If you do it in situ take the front seat out
