Im trying not to get worried about it personally until i have heard of a confirmed case in britain.

 

just looked on sky news they said doubt itll be this winter....

they did go nuts over mad cow disease too. that happened but not on a scary scale

To be honest it's so much media hype as it always is.
Nobody in the health sector that I know of is any more scared of bird flu than they are of any other life threatening disease at present, other diseases are rife now...bird flu isn't even here yet....until it gets here prognosis' of death tolls and cases are just that....

I, as said above....won't be worried until it is in the UK. Bear in mind the 60 deaths from 117 cases were, in some cases, in areas where any sort of healthcare is a far cry from reality. Those people would possibly have died from a harsh case of normal flu...who knows?

All in all....calm now....panic when you are the only person left in your village and chickens are swarming in through your front door

I was a butcher, trust me, compared to them we are unbelievably hygenic They gut, kill and store them in the street. We're talking cats, dogs, everything and anything and no cleansing whatsoever. It is gross.

you can't catch it unless your in contact with infected birds, it doesn't spread from person to person!!! yes they say it could mutate, but then i could grow another 4 inches on the end of my knob ( wow 16 inches )
