To be honest it's so much media hype as it always is.
Nobody in the health sector that I know of is any more scared of bird flu than they are of any other life threatening disease at present, other diseases are rife now...bird flu isn't even here yet....until it gets here prognosis' of death tolls and cases are just that....

I, as said above....won't be worried until it is in the UK. Bear in mind the 60 deaths from 117 cases were, in some cases, in areas where any sort of healthcare is a far cry from reality. Those people would possibly have died from a harsh case of normal flu...who knows?

All in all....calm now....panic when you are the only person left in your village and chickens are swarming in through your front door
