Milltek exhausts and ecotek valve
Hello all
i have finally deserted Saab ownership and bought myself a nice mondeo v6 Si...pretty nice drive it is too, and now a fully ford household
It seems to be fitted with a cat back Milltek twin tailpipe exhaust (stainless) which sounds pretty sweet to me. Just wondered if anyone knows how good/bad they are...certainly looks nice enough and cost the previous owner 400 notes...
also the car has an ecotek valve on..any ides of the benefits tec of these
cheers

Ecotek valves: Waste of time on a performance car IMO.
They are supposed to introduce extra air bubbles directly into the fuel line.
This has the effect of reducing the petrol fed into the cylinder and leaning the
fuel mixture off.
However, you car has lambda sensors and will adjust the fuel injection pulse width
over time to make up the difference anyway so nulling any effect !
Take it off !
