Default BRAKE BIAS SET UP/PLUMBING QUESTION

am changing all my line to braided & aeroquip/goodridge fittings etc,,,

i know i need a pressure reducing valve for the rears,,

so the question is,,

DO I GET RID OF THE STANDARD FORD 1'S & REPLACE WITH A SINGLE AFTER MARKET 1 (as it will be fitted to a single line that splits for the rears)

OR DO I NEED 1 FOR EACH SIDE

anyone know what 1 to use and where from?

OR DO I FIT IT/THEM AS WELL AS THE FORD 1'S

also is the bias adjuster fitted in line with the single line or does it have to split for both rears at the adjuster ???

cheers
marc

I'd like to know this too. Sorry to thread jump, but I was wondering if you should keep the diagonal braking or just have the front and rears split with one bias valve on the rear?

Got to be the simplest way...

The way I have mine [and I think its similar to everyone elses] is:

One master cylinder outlet goes to a 'T' piece on the inner wing and then to each front caliper.

The second master cyliner outlet runs into the car through a Bias valve and then T's out the back where it splits to each rear caliper.

If I were you I would rip out ALL the old Ford junk which will be well past its best by now and replace with new as above w

I did the same as John.

I ran one outlet from the m/c to a t-piece and then to the fronts. The other outlet went to a TAS bias valve next to the handbrake so I could adjust on the fly. The outlet from the bias valve then went to another t-piece and then straight to the rears.
