Default Fuel cell / Bag.

Could some one explain to me exactly what these are, and what are the benefit's over a normal fuel tank?

Can you run in - tank pump's with them or not?

Bag tanks are basically foam filled rubber bags usually with an ally or carbon cover...the benefits are primarily safety, they will partially collapse before bursting....weight and surge.

You can run in tank pumps...

Not just safety.....you tend to get better anti-surge devices in a bag tank arrangement so no need to have addional swirl pots/lift pumps etc and they tend to be lighter overall...

Pic of my bag tank in the boot.

The aluminium is as suggested, just a casing to keep it in place:

Moving the tank can also give better weight distribution... but its mainly a safety thing as everyone else has said
