Can someone let me know whats Helicoiling? is it a hard job and can anyone do it? and if not is it exspensive?

a helicoil or wire thread insert is used to repair a thread by tapping it out oversize and then inserting a coil to bring it back down to the correct size... its easy to do, you can buy kits from recoil etc

Quite simple to do, you can possibly buy the coils and tool required from specialised places like Ebay
