FAO anyone that sprays cars, quick question ?
Will my car be ok to do a 80 mile motorway trip tomorrow after just coming out of the bodyshop yesterday (front end re spray & side)
or does it need to be left for example a week for the paint to harden properly
Also can I wash the car or do I need to wait for that aswell
The reason I ask is someone told me to wait a month ?
Any advice would be appreciated
Steve

has it been baked is the most important thing as if not then it might be still soft

it will be ok to drive it and wash it its actualy got more chance of geting chiped when the paint is hard because it becomes fragile

find out if its been baked, the last thing you want is flies in soft paint as it'll fuck the paint and will be a pointless task
Are you in need of the car straight away?

Spray bay too
Not all spray bays have the heat facilty so they move the painted object into an oven

So the advice would be to leave it at least a week then ?
Due to me not knowing if it was baked or not or what system they used.
Cheers
