why, every time i start from cold, or even an hour or 2 after turning it off, does the car splutter for a second or 2, oil light on, then its ok. i have tried disconnecting the cold start valve, and it makes no differance... it only seems to be doing it the last month or so.
sounds like the oilways might need a clean out. how often do you change oil? how do you drive your engine? it could be that if you rev the pants off it that the bearings no longer hold the oil pressure like they should. maybe a faulty oil pump, although this is not common. the oil pressure switch in your block operates at about 5 or 6 psi i think, thats bugger all with metal flying round 1000rpm. if your lights on you got a problem. if it goes out after a while somethings on its way out. does your engine knock at all?

the light stays on for only a second, as soon as the light goes off, she stops spluttering. she also seems flat alot of the time, esp on boost, and when i pull away in 1st.
i rarely drive the engine hard, as she gets used daily, and she doesnt knock, well for a cvh shes quiet. oil + filter changed every 3-5k.
hmmmmmmmm... any more ideas please
