Default ZETEC TURBO CALIBRA TURBO PISTONS?

Hi could any 1 tell me if calibra turbo pistons will go straight on to 2.0 zetec rods to do a turbo thanx a lot lads ?

lee @ fusion has done this i think they go straight on because hes using standard rods. just pm him.

nope, the gudgeon pin is slightly larger, so the little end of the rod needs machining out to suit.

gudgeon pin size can be found in the accralite catalogue I think...

not sure how accurate it is though...

It's only a few thou but the motor place will do it to the correct fitment anyway. Oil holes need drilling through the piston to provide adequate lubrication to the pin - just copy how the Zetec pistons look. I'm assuming LET pistons are very similar to XE here, as that is what I'd have had to do for my ZVH. I went for Eagle rods and Arias in the end as they were a good price.

out of interest what sort of price are the arias pistons and where is cheap stockist?

Arias about 600 quid direct, Eagle a few hundred also direct.

let and xe pistons are exactly the same fitment early xe ones are forged just like the let ones late xe ones are cast the only difference is compression let is around 9-1 and xe 10-1 iirc
