Exhaust Valves
Hi,
Use the proper sodium filled exhaust valves as per original equipment, the others on ebay I think you will find are nimonic type and wont to be able to transfer the heat as well as the sodium type, if you understand how sodium valves work you will realise why they cost more!
It is usually the valve guides that wear on the Cosworth and the valves themselves do generally wear quite well (unless of course your cam belt lets go or you drop a valve) and for this reason its better in the long run to pay more for something that will last a lot longer than skimp on cheap unsuitable valves.
I would always use OE spec valves in my engine, there are many dealers advertising engine parts in Fast Ford magazine, and is a matter of shopping around for the best prices. Personally I always use Woodford Motorsport in Totnes, keen prices and very helpful.
