Wheel piccies! Compomotive CXN, Image, BBS 3pc X-wire splits
Hiya, have any of you got any piccies of the different 3pc crosswire wheels that are available? Im thinking of getting some compmotive CXN's, but was looking at image to. So, could you please post your piccies of ANY 3 or 2pc crosswire splits? bit like Karl Norris' one. Pics showing the outer rim lip dish would be wicked. Thanks people!

mine are the centre lock motorsport bbs wheels and are 17"x9"
they are a different design to the road wheels to allow for the big race brakes,
and are held on by a 90mm nut.

the brakes only just fit under the 17" wheels which are the max size the group A rules allow,
they look better one the cars

excellent mate, your a star. i was just wondering if you could have less "back" and more "front" lip if you see what i mean. By keeping the same size tyres. i.e, the mounting plate could be flush with the back of the wheel allowing for a HUGE lip if you wanted one.
the centres are the same on all sizes,
the wheels i use are 9" wide but you can go up to 12" width but you will need thunder saloon arches, 9" is the max with original arches fitted.

i see! so all the backs are the same, they just make up the width by putting on wider lips? i was just thinking that maybe you could use a shallower back and wider front and that would make more of a dish like DOO's ones cos yours look more "flat" even though they are wider.
Martin is right (lol ! ) , split rims are a 3 piece wheel , the centre has no discernable offset , the inners and outers are whatever size you require to set the wheel in your arch , in fact almost no-one uses the term "off-set " when talking about wheels , in Racing you ask the "Backspace " as this gives the hub mounting flange to the inner lip of the rim .
By the way wider than 9x 17 is very possible on a std arched RS 500 as i proved with my black car , ive gone for 12's on the new car tho and 290 tyres for grip !!

thats EXACTLY what i mean. So with the road versions, say you wanted 8" width, with a 2" lip, you could have less "backspace" bringing the wheel more under the arch? meaning the outer tire wouldnt rub? if im right. so do they make different "backs"?
