Found one in the bedroom last Sunday morning, Keith wasn't quick enough to get it at my side of the bed... so he got back in and 20 seconds later was chuckling to himself as the dozy eight leggedy thing walked out from under his side of the bed.... it was captured in a baby wipe box and deposited out of the bathroom window!

There's loads of the big bastids this year, proper face huggers they are too. I swear the one I swatted the other day should have been down traxs on the 0-60 sprint. This is the one that decided to crawl out from behind the sofa the other night.

Weighed in about a foot across, must have eaten all the other spiders to get that big.

In all fairness, if that came out my sofa, the sofa would be on fire

I know where you are coming from. We live opposite a school field & I swear they are all coming in from there into our nice warm house to get out of the cold. They are that big, I'm getting a large tumbler (the whisky style big ones) & offering it over the spider saying "There's no way that is gonna fit in there" ! Slam the glass over them & they're going mad. Jumping around the glass, crawling up the sides. The one I got yesterday morning had tattoos & a scar across it's cheek !

Have chucked out at least 4 this week alone. I don't really do spiders..definately not that fkin big.

from the bbc : Panicked householders should calm down, said a Dard spokeswoman. Tegenaria Gigantea is a harmless, large sheet web spider - she's just looking for a winter home.
She can fook orf somewhere else then. No spider is harmless if like me, you're an Arachnophobic.

"Unfortunately for them, the dry warm conditions in modern houses tend to cause desiccation and death.
Good

But the spokeswoman said that, if in doubt, members of the public should contact their local environmental health department for advice.
I prefer my own method for getting rid of them, by putting a gehad on them

Spiders have no right to life. The only useful thing they do is kill files, but compared to RAID they are hopelessly inefficient!

THAT'S THE FOOKERS !!!!!!!

65mm tip-to-tip. Just measured my spider-catching device (glass) and it's 75mm. A couple of the one's I've caught had to bend their legs to fit in the thing. They are HUGE!!

My Aunt Has a Phobia of them... If a Spider is in a room even a "Money spider" she is either standing on a chair (Dont quite get that one as surely the spider will just climb up ) or running out the room

What I don't understand is why that big furry beast scares me less than the harvesters we get in this country normally. I mean that big one is cuddly like a hampster or something. The one of the BBC site looks like it wants to eat your face off.

Fook that!

How on earth can you tell if its in a good mood? A dogs easy as it'll bark at you or growl. A spider? Foooooook oooooffffff, not a hope in hell would I go anywhere near one of those monsters.

I was dropping the kids off at the pool the other week and a big fook off house spider came crawling across the bathroom floor, I nipped it and fooked off out the door
