Everyone jumps straight on the manager, but if you ask me a huge percentage of the blame has to lie with the players. At the end of the day there the coooooonts on the foookin field kicking (or not in our case) the god damn ball.

The players are all just a bunch of over payed, under achieveing tossers in my opinion.

I aint saying that no blame should rest with Sven, but everyone ALWAYS jumps straight on the fookin manager.

At the end of the day playing for england isn't the palyers day job is it, they all still get there dosh from there clubs wether they win, loose or draw when playing for England.

The reason people jump on the manager is because it's entirely his fault.

Who plays Rooney out wide on the left, puts Gerrard and Lampard on top of each other, and Beckham in a holding midfield role?

Granted, Beckham's passing was off the charts last night, but for what?

Alan Hansen said it best last night - you build the formation around the players, not the players around the formation.

 

Then take then both off for another striker and that dick hargreaves. He's rubbish compared to those two. I think Sven should have taken Wright Phillips off as he was getting lots of the ball, but no joy from the defender. Put Joe Cole on (as he did) then have Cole on the left, Beckham back on the right leaving Gerrard & Lampard in the middle bursting through. Then push Rooney back upfront with Owen where he should be.

If he wants two wingers with Gerrard, Lampard & Beckham in the middle, then he should play 3 at the back with two strikers.

Even tho Rooney has played on the left wing with United, he swops & changes wing with ronaldo, but W-Phillips won't swop over & give the other side a go. Thin kthat was why Rooney got angry as he was also getting no joy down the left, but unable to do anything about it.

Any role in a national side (manager or player) should be all about national pride and patriotism and utterly fuck all to do with the money.

So where the fuck does an overpaid swede fit into that in the first place?
