just making one now but put the plastic caps back on which i will bond together with apoxy resin and strap it just to make sure there are no leaks.

I've been thinking of this too a few times. It would be a solution not completely blocking the radiator. I'm just worried how much the standard S1 or S2 IC flows.

I built a homemade chargecooler back in the day. Used a 2wd cossie intercooler for the task. Worked really well. Only issue is getting the water cooled back down and back into the chargecooler as quickly as possible.

Not sure what the std intecooler will flow. I've seen 180 odd at the wheels usingtwo std intercoolers flowing out of one in to the other in line. So thats not too bad.

using a device originally designed for air to air to heat trnasfer is not necessarily th ebest way of doing it, but i suppose that it's cheap and readily available

if you think about it your house boiler has a heat exchanger about the same size if not smaller than a s2 ic and look at the heat that dissipates !
the bigger the rad and the more water you can cool the better the issue is not having a twin pass through the ic to cool the air enough.
i will post some pics l8r to show the progress
