I built a homemade chargecooler back in the day. Used a 2wd cossie intercooler for the task. Worked really well. Only issue is getting the water cooled back down and back into the chargecooler as quickly as possible.

Not sure what the std intecooler will flow. I've seen 180 odd at the wheels usingtwo std intercoolers flowing out of one in to the other in line. So thats not too bad.
