was pondering the idea of using a cossie twin fan set up on the s2 erst what do you think would it be worth it and would it fit has it been done before thought about using a different thermostat as well so fans cut in earlier what do you peeps think

the fans are larger than the radiator.

they cost similar money to aftermarket "proper" fans aswell
so IMHO i'd just fit a single decent aftermarket one...

also its the FAN SWITCH which makes the fans go on/off not the thermostat, a thermostat controls the flow of water to the radiator and all its there to do is make the car warm up quicker when started from cold (well, that and regulate a constant water temp for the engine... lol)

The cossie fans will only "suck" efficiently, so if there is not enough room between the turbo and Rad and you stick the fans in front of the radiator and reverse polarity they will be shite

I'm sure someone off here said about putting a Cossie fan switch in the RST housing to make the fans come on sooner, is this possible?

yes u can use a cossie fan switch so the fans come in at a lower temp on RS turbos. i stuck an XR2 fan switch in mine cos i needed one and i had a new XR2 one lying their and fan comes in just a bollock hair over quarter
