Looks better than your usual "load of lights" type but Ive heard a lot of bad things about cheap A/F gauges. Does anyone have any experience of this unit?, would it be better than having nothing?!

Hello mate,
I have one of these wideband A/F gauges and controllers.
It is a very well made bit oif kit but i'm still in the process of fitting it so can't comment on how accurate it is etc.
Install is very easy:
Drill hole in exhaust and weld in boss to fit sensor
connect all the plugs (it comes pre fabricated so all you do is plug it togeather)
Connect power, earth and guage wires.
Matt.

Hi Matt,
I saw the wideband one you have and it looks great but its about Ł340 which is a bit steep for me
. I know the Ł70 one will be inferior but Im just wondering if it would provide a reasonable indication (Im not planning of running my car on the edge!)

I'm not sure on the accuracy of a narrow band A/F guage to be honest.
A lot of people say there not worth bothering with.
And others say they can produce just as accurate results as widebands.
Stu@MDevelopmens uses the narrow band in some cossie tuning and finds the results to be excellent i believe.
You will need to by a lambda sensor as well as the guage. and have it welded into the exhaust.
