Default 1.8, 1.9, 1.9tallblock, zvh or 16v

Right, i know this is going to raise some opinons but which one is best? Im doing my own rebuild v.soon and i think i want to stay with cvh unless theres good reason not too! I want reasonable power(250bhp and just as much torque) as too much is no good on the fwd and without spending 1000's on transmission, im just gunna get throught tyres and 1/4times wont be nething special! I know the issues with boring the 1.6 block but how many have actually had craked blocks? is the zvh or 16v just going to be too torquey? really dont know which route to take?

Mines had a 1mm overbore, so basically a 1.6, goes well enough for me, and has been ok for many other high powered rs turbos on here.

Dont they say too much boring on a 1.6, decreases the water jackets

everybody seems to be going with zvh, but its up to u,

personally i like how a cvh revs

I BUILT A 1.8 ZVH EVERYTHING STD APRT FROM IT WAS CHIPPED TO ALLOW ME TO RUN 14PSI GAVE OUT 180 BHP WHICH WERNT BAD .......................... NOW IVE JUST DROPPED A 2.1 IN WHICH IVE JUST BUILT BUT RUNNING A 285T2 CAM AND GAS FLOWED HEAD SOON TO BE SET UP SHOULD BE AROUND THE 250 BHP FIGURE YOU LOOKING AT (I HOPE)

YEAH CVH'S REV WELL AS IVE HAD A FEW BUT YOU JUST GOT TO GET IT FULLY REBUILT AND HOY SOME SERIOUS DOE IN TO IT IF YOU WANT IT TO STAY RELIABLE AT THE 250BHP FIGURE AND NO CUTTING CORNERS AS IT WILL JUST GO POP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
