Default Bugger - had car booked in at ford...

cos its making a noise, more so when turning left...

i replaced the n/s rear wheel bearing, and it still made the noise so i slung it at the ford monkeys.

they have just rang and told me its the n/s front wheel bearing - £130 all in

and, they also pointed out that my water pump is leaking, i know it was using water, so at least i know why now.

ive got a water pump at home thats pretty much new, they want £82 just to fit for "an hours work" fukk it, ill do it myself...

i really dont need this at the mo..

Do the wheel bearing yourself mate or phone a local garage about it. They could do it for much cheaper im sure.

£130 for a bearing

just take the spindle carrier off get a local garage to press the bearings in for 30 mins work and fit it all back yourself

if the noise gets worse when turning left then it is normally the O/S bearing as the load transfers onto this side when making a left turn.
